Been playing with the polarized 3D TV and got the idea to convert the Matrix so that one pair of glasses sees only the Matrix Raining Text effect and the other pair sees the Kung Fu fight between Neo and Morpheus, to feel like the characters watching it in the movie.

I’ve commented before that Star Trek’s most prescient prediction was communication via memes in ‘Darmok’. So it was only a matter of time before someone started making these:

Out of the blue, I was contacted by Josh Goldman, co-creator of an educational Apple II title from 1983 about the heart. "Heartbeat, Heatwork, Heartflow". He then followed it up with a disk image and a scan of the manual and floppy! Here they are!

@[email protected] complained that we waited until their phone lines opened to call and cancel.

Lesson learned, next time we'll just let the technician arrive, waste his time and avoid the cancelation nonsense.

So, @[email protected] tried to charge us for an apt. cancelation that occurred because their service came back during the evening and their we couldn't cancel the booking before 9:00am the next morning as their phonelines were closed.

So I have been working on a little something to help me mix my paints. It is completely and utterly over engineered for the problem, and that is why it reminds me of the bottle opener that @[email protected] and @[email protected] made 🤣. It does look cool though!

TIL that if you want to evade IPv4 firewall rules or logs you can pad an address with ::ffff: and it’ll be handled by IPv6 sockets; even if your PC only uses IPv4, the victim and intermediaries will treat it as a IPv6 at many critical junctures. plz don’t use this for evil, ok?

Whenever I need to clamp a number between a `min` and a `max`, it takes me ages to convince myself this implementation is correct.

But yeah, it's easy! I just want the min of the max of the num and the min and the max.
